After seeing the movie Sound of Freedom, I felt I had to spread awareness on this nightmare and point people to the organizations where they can donate to help save the children from this horror.
The reality of human trafficking is an alarming, yet often overlooked silent epidemic that continues to ravage our world. Shockingly, as noted by the International Labor Organization (ILO), there are more than 40 million modern-day slaves across the world today — with 1 in 4 being children under 18 years old who have been sexually exploited for money and/or labor purposes. Unfortunately, due to its hidden nature and complexity, this barbaric crime is not easily recognizable or understood by many people.
